Alexander Ng began their work experience in 2000 as a Trading Assistant at Millennium Management LLC, where they focused on real-time risk management and execution trading of US equities. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Financial Engineer at Rohatyn Group, where they designed and implemented an index project factor model framework and developed an algorithm for VAR estimation. In 2007, they joined Tenor Capital Management as a Partner, serving as both a Risk Manager and Chief Technology Officer. Here, they were responsible for risk measurement and quantitative analysis, as well as managing IT infrastructure and development. Lastly, since 2010, they have been with Insight Investment as the Head of Investment Risk, overseeing investment risk and portfolios, quantifying risk methodologies, and leading the development of a stochastic portfolio risk model customized for asset-liability strategies.
Alexander Ng holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Alexander then pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics at Rutgers University from 1991 to 1997. Later, in 2000 to 2001, Alexander attended Carnegie Mellon University for a program in Computational Finance, where they obtained an MSCF degree. In 2006 to 2007, they received a FRM Certification in Risk Management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
