Donald Goldrosen

Donald practiced commercial real estate law for approximately 40 years with a number of different law firms. Over the course of his career, he represented national and regional developers and home builders in the acquisition, financing development and sale of residential, commercial and mixed use projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, but primarily in Northern Virginia. Donald worked on many of the largest projects in Northern Virginia, including Fair Lakes, Cascades, Kingstowne, Virginia Run, Lansdowne and Moorefield Station, as well as the Dulles Greenway Toll Road Project. In addition to his law practice, throughout his career he served in a number of management and strategic roles. As a partner at Hazel & Thomas, he served as head of the Real estate Group, as well as the youngest member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He also served on the merger committee negotiating the legal documents for the merger with Reed Smith. Shortly after the merger he became head of the Global Real Estate Group at Reed Smith, managing over 80 attorneys and paralegals in 11 offices. At Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, I served as head of the Real Estate Group, as well as being on the firm’s Board of Directors for 3 years and chairing the firm’s Strategic Planning and Practice Group Leaders Committees.

Donald graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Accounting and graduated from Villanova Law School. He spent many enjoyable hours coaching his son’s basketball, soccer and roller hockey teams and his daughter’s soccer team, and was a member of the Paul VI High School Ice Hockey Club Board of Directors. Through programs administered by his law firms, he participated as a mentor for elementary school students at Graham Road and Dogwood Elementary Schools.
