During her 10 years at Insight, she has led projects for multiple federal agencies, including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE), the Department of Education, and the Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). For FNS, Claire recently completed a qualitative study of zero-income Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants. This study involved in-depth interviews with 50 SNAP participants in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and was designed to examine the circumstances that left these participants with no income and their survival strategies during periods of no income.

Prior to joining Insight, Claire worked as a survey researcher for Mathematica Policy Research. She earned her Ph.D. in applied social psychology from George Washington University.
