Research Analyst at Insight Policy Research

Lizzie Nelson is a skilled research assistant with experience in qualitative data collection and analysis, report writing, and project management. She currently supports projects with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the U.S. Department of Education, and she previously worked on projects with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service.

At Insight, Lizzie supports CMS projects such as the Maternal Opioid Misuse (MOM) Model and the Research to Enhance Targeting Information for Medicare Audiences. She applies project management and data analysis expertise to coordinate site visits and schedule, record, and summarize interviews and focus groups.

Prior to working at Insight, Lizzie was a projects associate for the Health Finance Institute, and she worked as an undergraduate researcher in learning and memory at Christopher Newport University for several years. Lizzie holds a B.S. from Christopher Newport University, where she majored in neuroscience and minored in chemistry and leadership studies.
