Jasmine Hughes has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at McGill University from 2009-2011. In 2012, they took a Process Engineering Intern role at Hatch and an Undergraduate Research Assistant role at McGill University. Jasmine then pursued their PhD at UC Berkeley - UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering from 2012-2018, during which time they also served as a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley in 2014. In 2018, they moved to InsightRX, where they served as a Data Scientist and Director of Data Science. Jasmine also completed a Fellowship at Insight Data Science that same year, during which they developed an interactive Flask web app to predict adverse effects for novel drug candidates.

Jasmine Hughes obtained their B.Eng in Chemical Engineering from McGill University between 2007 and 2011. Jasmine then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Francisco from 2012 to 2017, followed by another Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 to 2018. Additionally, Jasmine has obtained certifications in Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research, Conflicts of Interest (COI) Basic, GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) Course, and Human Subjects Research – IRB - Biomedical Focus from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in April 2021.
