Oscar Yu Tian

Oscar Yu Tian is a seasoned actuarial professional and academic with extensive experience in financial mathematics and asset management. Currently serving as a Senior Actuarial Manager at Insignia Financial, Oscar also contributes to the academic community as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer at Monash Centre for Quantitative Finance and Investment Strategies, where supervision and teaching of postgraduate students take place. In addition, Oscar holds an Industry Fellow position at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research, focusing on retirement income product innovation. Previous roles include Senior Consultant at MLC Australia, where Oscar specialized in pricing and risk analysis for retirement products, as well as various positions in quantitative analysis and research at CSIRO and ABN AMRO/Royal Bank of Scotland. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Financial Mathematics from Monash University and a Master of Science with Distinction from Delft University of Technology.
