Tina Tran

Tina Tran has a diverse work experience in data science and analytics roles. Tina is currently the Director of Data Science at Insite AI since July 2023. Before that, they worked at Bacardi as a Senior Manager and Lead Data Scientist from September 2021 to June 2023. At Bacardi, Tina was responsible for expanding the internal analytics capability, driving key programs, and identifying new business use cases for analytical product development.

Prior to Bacardi, Tina had significant experience at Anheuser-Busch InBev. From August 2019 to August 2021, they worked as a Global Manager, Analytics, overseeing the activities of data scientists, data engineers, and big data specialists. Tina provided advanced expertise in statistical, mathematical, and machine learning concepts and collaborated with internal stakeholders to support data-driven decisions in product, sales, and marketing.

Before their role as a global manager, Tina held various positions at Anheuser-Busch InBev, including Global Data Scientist and Computer Scientist at BudLab UIUC. In these roles, they conducted quantitative research, designed and built dynamic pricing and recommendation models, and led a team of data analysts to solve challenging machine learning and time series analysis projects.

In addition to their industry experience, Tina also had research experience as an NSF EAPSI Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Mississippi. At the University of Mississippi, they designed and developed routing protocols and performed association rule-based biclustering analysis on biological data.

Tina began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at California State University, Bakersfield, where they gained initial research experience. Overall, Tina Tran has a strong background in data science, analytics, and research, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive data-driven decision-making.
