Allan Kaspar has a strong background in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Allan is currently serving as the Vice President of Research Gene Therapy at Insmed Incorporated. Prior to that, they co-founded Motus Biosciences in 2020. From 2013 to 2019, they held the position of Vice President of Research and Development at AveXis Inc.
Before joining AveXis Inc., Allan Kaspar worked at Pfizer, Inc. where they served as a Principal Scientist from 2008 to 2013 and as a Scientist from 2006 to 2008. Their earlier experience includes roles as a Scientist at Androclus Therapeutics from 2004 to 2006, a Scientist at Triad Therapeutics from 2003 to 2004, and a Scientist at Maxia Pharmaceuticals (Incyte) from 2001 to 2003.
Allan Kaspar's career started at The Burnham Institute where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2000 to 2001. Overall, they have accumulated extensive experience in various scientific and leadership positions within the industry.
Allan Kaspar has a diverse education history. Allan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 1992. Subsequently, from 1992 to 1999, they attended Stanford University School of Medicine, where they pursued a PhD in immunology. Lastly, Allan completed their higher education at San Diego State University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management, concluding their studies in 2005.
