Nobuhide Shimizu

Nobuhide Shimizu has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within companies such as Insmed Incorporated, Novartis, Deutsche Bank, and ExxonMobil. Their most recent role was as the Vice President and Head of Asia-Pacific Business Operations at Insmed Incorporated from April 2023 to the present. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of Japan and the Head of Operations, Finance, and Finance in the same company. Before joining Insmed Incorporated, they held multiple roles at Novartis, including Executive Director of Franchise Finance, Country Chief Financial Officer of Novartis Korea Limited, and Head of Business Planning and Analysis in the Pharmaceuticals Division. Nobuhide also has experience in corporate finance at Deutsche Bank and logistics analysis at ExxonMobil.

Nobuhide Shimizu obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sophia University between 1990 and 1994. Nobuhide continued their studies at the same university and received a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 1996. Later, they pursued further education at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and Accounting from 1999 to 2000.
