Eric Hochwald

Eric Hochwald has a wide range of work experience in various roles and companies. Eric started their career as a Draftsman at Kavanagh & Associates from 1999 to 2000. Eric then joined HARMAN International in 2000 and served in different positions such as CAD Administrator, Associate CAE Systems Engineer, and CAE Systems Engineer until 2008. At HARMAN International, they focused on improving and optimizing business processes, project management practices, and engineering systems. Eric also managed a team of Engineering IT Support Specialists and provided leadership on process design and administration of PLM, PDM, and MES systems.

In 2004, Eric founded Sylfex Inc. and worked as the Owner until 2023. During this time, they were responsible for the overall operations and management of the company.

From 2014 to 2016, Eric worked at HARMAN International as the Sr. Manager, PMO & Engineering Systems, where they provided project oversight, improved business processes, and led a team dedicated to the development of project management and engineering methods, systems, and tools.

In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Sr Manager, DevOps at HARMAN International, where they provided definition and management of engineering organizational and process efficiency projects. Eric ensured high performance of the engineering organization by implementing modern tools, processes, and supporting infrastructure.

Most recently, Eric worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Systems Development Manager from 2020 to 2023. Eric played a key role in managing the development of systems and was responsible for ensuring their efficiency.

In 2023, Eric joined Insomniac Design as the Director of Technology, where they oversee the technology department and contributes to the company's overall technological strategy.

Eric Hochwald attended Walsh College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained their MBA degree in Science. Prior to that, they studied at Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1994 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Technology degree in Science. In addition, Eric attended the College of the North Atlantic from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Diploma of Architectural Engineering Technology in the field of Architecture.
