Hans Harhoff Andersen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Hans started their career as a Postbud at Post Danmark in 2008 before transitioning to the role of Showfysiker at Fysikshow Aarhus from 2008 to 2011. Hans then joined Aarhus University as a Phd Studerende from 2011 to 2015, where they focused on research in Ion trapping, laser cooling, and cavity physics. Hans continued their journey at Aarhus University as a Postdoc from 2015 to 2015, where they were involved in the construction and maintenance of Ion trap experiments, as well as maintaining web services for the research group.
In 2016, Hans joined Vestas as a Data Scientist, where they were responsible for developing platforms for Big Data analytics, High Performance Computing, and self-service analytics solutions. Hans held several positions within Vestas, including Large-Scale Data Specialist from 2018 to 2022.
Currently, Hans is working at Inspari as a Principal Data Scientist - Data Science & AI lead since October 2023. Prior to this role, they served as a Data Science & AI lead from February 2023 to October 2023, and as a Senior Data Scientist from May 2022 to October 2023.
Hans Harhoff Andersen's education history starts with their enrollment at Elise Smiths skole from 1992 to 2002, where they completed 9th grade. Hans then attended Samsø Efterskole in 2002-2003 for their 10th klasse studies, specializing in the Sejlerlinje (sailing line). From 2003 to 2006, Hans attended Viby Amtsgymnasium og HF, focusing on the Matematisk linje in their Almen gymnasium studies. Continuing their education, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics from 2007 to 2010, followed by a Master's degree in the same field from 2010 to 2013, both at Aarhus University. Hans completed their formal education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Aarhus University between 2011 and 2015.
Additionally, Hans has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2015, they received the Operations Management Fundamentals certification from lynda.com. In 2020, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Lastly, in 2022, they achieved the certifications of Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate from Microsoft and Advanced NLP with spaCy from DataCamp.
