Claudio Haddad is the founder and president of the Deliberative Council and Assembly of Associates at Insper, a non-profit higher education and research institution in Brazil, a reference in education and knowledge generation in the areas of administration, economics, law and engineering.
He is also a member of the Board of Instituto Unibanco and Ensina Brasil. Chairs the Advisory Board of the Brazilian office of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University, member of the Global Council of Harvard University and of the Advisory Board of the Becker-Friedman Institute of the University of Chicago.
Between 1980 and 1982, he was director of Public Debt and Open Market at the Central Bank of Brazil. From 1983 to 1998, Claudio was a partner, director and, between 1993 and 1998, CEO of Banco de Investimentos Garantia SA.
Claudio holds a degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering, a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago and a degree from the Owner and President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
