Kent Lee

Director, Research at Inspire Medical Systems

Kent Lee has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kent began their career as an intern at Medtronic in 1999. Kent then worked as a graduate student at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where they focused on research in Neurology. Kent then joined Boston Scientific CRM in 2001, initially as a Research Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist. Kent made significant contributions in developing sleep apnea diagnostic algorithms and collaborating with specialists to create new technologies. Kent then joined INSEAD in 2007, where they completed their MBA. Kent briefly worked as a Medical Technology Investment Analyst at Endeavour Vision (Venture Capital) in 2008. Following this, Kent joined Boston Scientific in 2009 as a Business Strategy Associate, where they played a crucial role in developing business plans and investment strategies for new growth areas. Kent also worked on the CRM pacemaker business strategy for India.

In 2011, Kent joined Inspire Medical Systems as the Therapy Development Manager, where they worked for almost a decade. Kent played a key role in research and development, eventually becoming the Director of Research. Overall, Kent's expertise lies in research, strategy development, and technology implementation in the medical field.

Kent Lee's education history begins in 1996 when they enrolled in Case Western Reserve University for their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Kent continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from 2000 to 2001. In 2007, Kent attended INSEAD, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Kent obtained the Certified Cardiac Device Specialist - Allied Professional certification from IBHRE in November 2010. In 2007, they also achieved the Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal, Profiel Maatschappelijke Taalvaardigheid, EC B1 (Certificate of Dutch as a Foreign Language, Societal level) from De Nederlandse Taalunie.
