Zachary Haigh

Zachary Haigh is currently an Algorithms Engineering Intern at Inspire Medical Systems since June 2023 and has been a Graduate Researcher at the University of Minnesota since September 2020, focusing on the verification and validation of closed-loop algorithms for transcranial magnetic stimulation and developing user interfaces for MRI coordinate systems. Previous experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Munsky Group at Colorado State University, where Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithms were created for axon transport processes, and at the Sensorimotor Neuroimaging Laboratory, where a Bayesian Decision Theory protocol for kinematic balance research was coded. Zachary also held an R&D Internship at Ethicon, Inc., assessing reactive distillation processes, and contributed to a bacteriophage project as a researcher in the CSU iGEM team. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical & Biological Engineering from Colorado State University.
