Job Description:

BuildDirect is seeking a Warehouse Associate to play a pivotal role in our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the preparation of sample boards, which includes sawing samples to their correct size, and arranging it to the display board. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and desire to work a very hands-on position will be essential in ensuring our customers' orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Saw and prepare flooring samples of hardwood, vinyl and laminate for sample boards to ship to customers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping, ensuring that products are correctly labeled and packaged to meet our quality standards.
• Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with Warehouse management system to handle customer orders.
• Perform customer service for clients coming to pick products when needed.
• Inspect products for damage or defects, reporting any issues to the warehouse supervisor.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices
• Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates, logistics team members, and supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including stacking and arranging materials in an orderly fashion.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including cycle counts and restocking products as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Familiarity with saws and power tools considered an asset
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products.
• Must be comfortable connecting with customers when needed.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
