Lydia Kung is the Senior Director of HR Business Partnering at Instacart. Lydia has over six years of experience in human resources, talent management, and recruiting.

Lydia started their career as an MBA intern in human resources at Mattel, Inc. Lydia was quickly promoted to Manager of HR Business Partnering, where they oversaw global talent acquisition and led various change management initiatives. In this role, Lydia was also responsible for creating talent dashboards and updating the company's facilities labor Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In 2017, Lydia left Mattel to join Uber as an HR Business Partner. In this role, they supported Uber's autonomous division, ATG, which was committed to self-driving car and truck technology. Lydia managed a team of 650 employees across multiple sites in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Phoenix.

In 2018, Lydia joined Instacart as the Senior Director of HR Business Partnering. In this role, they are responsible for leading Instacart's HR team and partnering with various business units to drive strategic initiatives around talent management, employee engagement, and productivity.

Lydia Kung has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the same school.

Lydia Kung reports to Christina Hall, Chief Human Resources Officer. They work with Max Mullen - Co-Founder, Michael McLernon - VP, Total Rewards, and Michelle Suwannukul - Head of HR.
