Mary Beth Laughton

Mary Beth Laughton has served on Instacart's Board of Directors since August 2024. Laughton has over 25 years of experience leading high-profile consumer brands and has been recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business for 2021.

Laughton currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer at REI. Previously she served as the Head of Nike Global Direct to Consumer at Nike until January 2025. Prior to joining Nike in August 2023, Laughton served for almost four years as President and CEO of Athleta LLC, a women’s activewear brand owned by Gap. From 2012 to 2019, Laughton served in various roles at Sephora, including most recently as EVP of Omni Retail. Before joining Sephora, Ms. Laughton held a variety of strategy, merchandising, and e-commerce roles at Nike.

Laughton holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
