Rick Soltero is the current president of InstantGMP. Prior to this, they were the executive director of pharmaceutical and analytical development at Nobex Corporation, a biotech company focused on chemically modifying proteins and peptides to make them orally available. Soltero was also responsible for the strategy and management of Nobex's lead product, oral insulin, which resulted in a $283 million licensing deal with GSK.
Before joining Nobex, Soltero was the vice president of laboratory operations at Magellan Laboratories, where they managed multi-million dollar laboratory businesses including analytical chemistry, method development and microbiology. Rick was also responsible for corporate laboratory training, metrology, computer validation and facilities. At AAI, Soltero oversaw the laboratory information management system for Pharmacopeia testing.
Soltero has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Rick holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Rutgers University and a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Connecticut.
Rick Soltero holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Rutgers University - Newark, an M.S. in Chemistry from Rutgers University - Newark, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
