Antony Fuentes

Antony Fuentes has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Antony started their career in 2011 at Growth Acceleration Partners as a Senior Software QA Engineer, where they automated UI and API tests using tools like Selenium and created shell scripts for repetitive tasks. Antony also gained experience in managing and leading teams.

In 2017, Antony joined Gorilla Logic as a Data Engineer, working on ETL development for Western Asset Management. Antony developed Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading, as well as automated checks on data integrity and quality.

Returning to Growth Acceleration Partners in 2019, Antony took on the role of QA Lead and Principal QA Automation Engineer for Secureworks. Antony automated various tests using tools like Cypress, Pytest, k6, and created a Python program to assist manual QAs in creating automated release notes.

In 2021, Antony joined Toptal as a Software Development Engineer In Test. Their responsibilities included creating a Cypress testing framework from scratch, integrating it with CI/CD pipelines, and reporting bugs on Jira.

Currently, Antony works at Instawork as a QA Lead with a focus on SDET and QA Automation. Antony conducts manual and automated testing for native iOS/Android applications, while also providing leadership and creating shell scripts to manage test data in the Django backend.

Antony Fuentes obtained a Bachelor's degree in Ingeniería informática from Universidad Autónoma de Centro América, studying from 2008 to 2011. In addition, they have obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in December 2021.
