Sarah (Goodfellow) Turnbull FCIPD, FiLM, FITOL obtained their BA hons degree in Ancient History & Archaeology from The University of Manchester in the years 1985 to 1988. Sarah then went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development from The University of Huddersfield between 1999 and 2001.

Prior to their university education, Sarah attended Bury Grammar School (Girls) from 1978 to 1985.

In terms of additional certifications, they became a Fellow of the Institute of Training & Occupational Learning (FITOL) in October 2009. Sarah also attained the FiLM (Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management) designation from ILM in August 2006.
