Hillary Mangini has had a diverse work experience. In 2010, they served as a Logistician for the United States Marine Corps. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Software Engineering Apprentice for GE Digital. During this time, they interned on Agile teams as a full-stack developer for two production GE Oil & Gas applications. In 2015, they were a Summer Cyber Intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a Trigonometry Supplemental Instructor and Computer Science Tutor for the University of New Orleans. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Software Engineer for GE Digital, where they collaborated in Agile teams to build production web applications for interpreting and displaying data retrieved from sensors on offshore oil rigs. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Software Developer for Intralox and BATON Financial Services, Inc., where they led the front end development efforts for the first customer experience portal at Intralox and wrote cross-browser, ADA compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for production applications. Currently, they are a Software Engineer for ScienceLogic and Instinct Science, where they have created and maintained dashboard widgets allowing users to filter, drive and display data for different layers of the OSI model, cleaned up frontend code by refactoring Recompose code to React hooks, and outlined a roadmap for team and began work to replace Redux with Apollo for web applications using GraphQL.
Hillary Mangini completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans in 2017. Prior to that, they attended National University from 2012 to 2013, studying Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a certification in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Coursera in November 2018.
