Helen Dodd has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Helen is currently working as the Head of Reinventing Responsibility at Instinctif Partners, where they lead the Reinventing Responsibility practice and assists clients in effectively communicating their sustainability strategies. Helen is actively involved in Instinctif's Responsibility and Impact Working Group and Advisory Board, and they also spearhead the social mobility D&I pillar.
Prior to their current role, Helen served as the Sustainable Business and Communications Senior Manager (UK and Ireland) at Unilever. During their tenure there, they played a pivotal role in corporate affairs, external relations, government and trade association relationships, leadership communications, internal communications, employee engagement, and issues management. Helen was actively involved in shaping business-critical agendas such as Brexit, covid 19, health and nutrition, sustainability, ED&I, and employee well-being. Helen was also a founding member of Unilever's gender balance network in the UK and Ireland.
Helen's work experience includes a role as a Senior Global Media Relations Manager at Unilever, where they managed media relations and social media from 2015 to 2018. Helen also worked at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) as a Senior Associate External Affairs, where they focused on building public-private partnerships to combat global malnutrition. Helen led global communications and executive voice, supporting GAIN staff and projects across various countries.
Earlier in their career, Helen worked as a Senior Consultant at Open Road, an independent communications consultancy. Helen provided integrated corporate communications, public affairs, and corporate responsibility services to clients such as Asda, Coca-Cola, and the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation. Additionally, they served as a Consultant at Luther Pendragon, a strategic communications consultancy, working with clients including the John Lewis Partnership and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Helen commenced their professional journey as a Research Fellow at the Adam Smith Institute and later worked as a Senior Researcher at Stockholm Network.
