Jordi Marturia is a seasoned professional in geology and geospatial information systems, currently serving as the Head of the Geological Risk Intervention Projects Unit and the Head of the Geological Risk Prevention Unit at the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya since February 2014. Prior experience includes leading projects and GIS initiatives in geological engineering and risks at INSTITUT GEOLOGIC DE CATALUNYA from May 2005 to January 2014, as well as holding roles in GIS analysis at Institut Cartografic de Catalunya and geological services at Servei Geologic de Catalunya. Jordi began the career in geology with research assistance at the Universitat de Barcelona and quality control for beach restoration at CONSTRULAB. Jordi earned a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from the Facultat de Geologia between 1984 and 1989.
