Francoise Piguet

Francoise Piguet is an accomplished researcher in the field of gene therapy for neurodegenerative diseases. Currently serving as the Head of the Technological Innovation and Development Unit at the Institut du Cerveau – Paris Brain Institute since July 2020, Francoise Piguet focuses on developing gene and cell therapies for conditions such as ALS, Parkinson's disease, and various leukodystrophies. Previous roles included consulting for BrainVectis on Huntington's disease gene therapy, and working as a Scientific Researcher at Inserm, contributing to approaches for multiple neurological disorders. Francoise Piguet has held postdoctoral positions at IGBMC and Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele Milano, specializing in the development of gene therapies and animal model research. Francoise Piguet holds a Doctorate in Neuroscience and an Habilitation to supervise research, with a strong background in genetics and biotechnology.
