Simon Scardifield is an experienced tutor, writer, director, and translator with a diverse background in theatre and radio. Currently serving as a Shakespeare Teacher at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Simon has also directed theatrical works for Cartier and contributed significantly to the National Theatre as a translator and script reader since 1996. Additionally, Simon has a robust career in radio, with multiple adaptations and original works for the BBC. As a translator for the Institut français and the Royal Court Theatre, Simon specializes in plays from various languages, including Spanish, French, and German. Commitment to community service is evident through roles as a trustee and volunteer at the Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers and as a dramaturg for Scene and Heard. Simon's education includes studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the University of Cambridge.
