Dr. Daniel Johnson is an established researcher specializing in environmental economics with extensive experience in ecosystem services valuation, disaster risk management, and sustainability. Currently employed at the Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung (IÖW) since February 2022, Dr. Johnson focuses on projects related to land, resource, and water management. Previously, contributions were made as a short-term consultant at The World Bank, where analyses on urban heat island effects were conducted. Dr. Johnson's academic journey includes roles as a research assistant at various institutions, culminating in a Doctorate from ESCP Business School, a Master’s from Leibniz Universität Hannover, and a Bachelor’s from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg.
