Valentin Tappeser

Valentin Tappeser is an experienced professional in sustainability and digital governance, currently serving as an Officer for Institute Coordination and Strategy at the Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung (IÖW) since March 2020. Tappeser has been self-employed since October 2018, focusing on developing a project aimed at enhancing transparency and participation in policy-making through digital tools. As a co-founder and advisor at rootAbility since March 2012, Tappeser has provided strategic advice and networking support for sustainability initiatives in higher education. Previous roles include Project Manager at adelphi, where Tappeser handled various federal sustainability consulting projects, and Project Coordinator for a Green Office at Maastricht University, which involved the implementation of energy efficiency projects. Tappeser has also gained international experience as an intern at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN, further complemented by a robust educational background in Global Studies and Data Science from institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Maastricht University.
