Fernanda de Negri

Fernanda De Negri is an accomplished professional in the field of economics with extensive experience in research and institutional management. Currently serving as Diretora at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (Ipea) since March 2023, Fernanda previously held the same position at Ipea from September 2012 to December 2016, where responsibilities included coordinating research teams, managing institutional resources, establishing partnerships, and conducting research. Additional roles include serving as Chefe da Assessoria de Acompanhamento e Avaliação at the Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação from January 2011 to September 2012, and Vice-diretora at Ipea from June 2009 to December 2010. Prior experience also includes working as Assessora Econômica at the Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior from June 2007 to December 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and a Visiting Researcher position in Applied Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015.
