Teresa Sanchis

Head of Strategic Initiatives at Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC)

Teresa Sanchis is the current Head of Strategic Initiatives at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC). Teresa has extensive experience in leading and managing large research projects, both at IBEC and at their previous company, Nanomed Spain. Teresa is also responsible for organizing IBEC's yearly international symposium on bioengineering and nanomedicine, as well as other institutional conferences and seminars. Under their leadership, IBEC has seen a significant increase in both the quality and quantity of its scientific production. In addition to their work at IBEC, Teresa is also responsible for identifying strategic partners and cooperation schemes, as well as emerging topics and trends in the field of bioengineering and nanomedicine.

Teresa Sanchis holds a Master in Leadership and Management of Science from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Postgraduated Diploma in international development agents from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a PhD. in Physics from Universitat de Barcelona, and a Postgraduate degree in leadership and management of nonprofit organizations from Universitat Ramon Llull. Teresa also has an MSc in Physics from University of Valencia.
