Institute for Child and Family Health
Batul Maniar serves as the President and Principal at South Florida School of Excellence since August 2015, overseeing a clinical and educational facility catering to gifted and autism students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Holding a Master’s of Science in Exceptional Student Education with Autism Certification from Barry University and a Master’s of Arts in Education from Karachi University, Batul Maniar has extensive experience in special education. Current roles also include Special Education Specialist/Coordinator and Science Teacher at United Cerebral Palsy, and Psychosocial Rehabilitator Specialist for exceptional and at-risk children at the Institute for Child & Family Health. Previous teaching positions include Exceptional Student Education Teacher for 4th and 5th grades at Westlake Preparatory School & Academy and interim substitute teaching within the Broward County School District.
Institute for Child and Family Health
The Institute for Child and Family Health (ICFH) - formerly the Children's Psychiatric Center (CPC) - is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing health, behavioral health, educational, and prevention services to the children, adolescents, and families of Miami-Dade County since 1945. It is one of the oldest and largest community health centers exclusively dedicated to the well being of children and families in the state of Florida. ICFH serves over 30,000 children, adolescents, and families per year.
