José Barzola

José Barzola is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in peace education, conflict resolution, and higher education administration. Currently serving as the Peace Corps Prep Coordinator at the Matsunaga Institute for Peace since January 2016, José has also held multiple roles including Educational Specialist, Program Manager, and Affiliate Faculty. As a self-employed facilitator and mediator since 2006, José has provided consulting services and public speaking engagements. José's leadership roles include serving as President and Board Member at the Conflict Resolution Alliance, and as Program Adviser at the Institute for Climate and Peace. With a PhD in Educational Administration and Higher Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and various certifications in mediation and negotiation from distinguished institutions, José is well-equipped in both educational and conflict management fields.
