Laura Birdsong

Laura Birdsong has been in the professional workforce since 2007. Laura started as an English as a Foreign Language Teacher Intern at Santisuk English School. In 2008, they took on multiple roles at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, including Research Associate, Program Coordinator, and Technology Coordinator - AmeriCorps CTEP. Additionally, they served as Committee Chair - Education and Training Committee at the InterCorps Council of Minnesota. Since 2016, they have been employed at the Institute for Community Alliances, where they have held roles as Manager, System Administration and System Administrator.

Laura Birdsong has a diverse educational background. Laura obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Intercultural Studies from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. Laura also completed a Certificate for Spanish Language Studies - High Intermediate from Enforex Centro de Estudios Internacionales. In 2013 and 2014, they attended Saint Mary's University of Minnesota for Project Management. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Professional Project Manager from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business. Additionally, they hold a DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) - Based Family Skills Training Certificate from DBT Associates and the Minnesota Board of Psychology (31 CEUs) and a Global Career Development Facilitator Certificate from Normandale Community College - National Career Development Association.
