Ben Lindorf is the Director & General Counsel for the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). IDA is a nonprofit corporation operating in the public interest. Its three Federally Funded Research and Development Centers answer the most challenging U.S. security and science policy questions with objective analysis leveraging extraordinary scientific, technical, and analytic expertise.
Mr. Lindorf has served in his current role at IDA since 2016. Before that time, he served as IDA’s Associate General Counsel and Corporate Compliance Manager.
Prior to joining IDA in 2009, Mr. Lindorf was a Senior Associate Attorney in the Global Regulatory Enforcement Practice Group of Reed Smith LLP. Mr. Lindorf also served as an Associate Attorney with the International Trade Practice Group of Williams Mullen PC, and as a Paralegal Specialist with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the Solicitor General.
Mr. Lindorf received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree, with a Global Law Scholar certificate, from Georgetown University.
