Patrick Heintz, PhD, currently serves as a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses since December 2021. Previously, Patrick contributed to Iowa State University's Graduate and Professional Student Senate, advocating for graduate students' welfare and enhancing educational policies. As Head Teaching Assistant, Patrick taught General Chemistry and Graduate Research Safety courses, mentored students, and developed course materials. Patrick's research experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Ames Laboratory, focusing on materials synthesis, and serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Seton Hall University. Patrick earned a PhD in Chemistry from Iowa State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Seton Hall University.
