Nicky Black

Nicky Black is a seasoned professional in sustainability and impact advisory, currently serving as the Director of Sustainability and Impact at SG&, where strategic advice is provided to asset owners, governments, and investors on critical issues in transformative industries. With extensive board membership experience, Nicky Black contributes to the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business and the Institute for Human Rights and Business. Previously, Nicky Black held the position of Director at the International Council on Mining and Metals, guiding initiatives on environmental, social, and governance issues for major mining companies. Nicky Black has also chaired the UN Global Compact Network UK, significantly increasing membership, and led social performance at De Beers. Nicky Black’s academic background includes a PhD in Strategic Management from The University of Waikato and multiple degrees from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford and McGill University, emphasizing expertise in human sciences and political sociology.
