Sara de la Serna

Sara de la Serna is a professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently working at the IDAE (Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía) since March 2020 in the Renewable Energy Directorate, focusing on community energy initiatives. Previously, Sara served as Developer Manager at SSE Enterprise from February 2016 to March 2020, where responsibilities included developing electric vehicle strategies and managing commercial relationships within the EV market. With a background as a dynamic consultant at Element Energy from January 2013 to February 2016, Sara has expertise in energy, transport, and smart networks. Early career experience includes an engineering role at Saica and a research collaboration at the University of Birmingham. Educational qualifications include MSc degrees in Sustainable Energy Futures and Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and the University of Birmingham, respectively, along with a Chemical Engineering degree from Complutense University of Madrid. Sara is also a member of the London Philharmonic Choir since July 2016.
