Institute for the Future of Work
Magdalena Soffia currently serves as the Head of Social Research and Principal Sociologist at the Institute for the Future of Work since October 2022. Previously, Magdalena held the position of Work and Wellbeing Senior Analyst at the What Works Centre for Wellbeing from November 2019 to October 2022 and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge between May 2018 and February 2020. Early in Magdalena's career, a consultancy role at ECLAC was undertaken from March 2008 to December 2011. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology from the University of Cambridge (2014-2018), a Master of Science (MSc) in Development Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (2012-2013), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2003-2007).
