Emma Guttman-Slater is the Founder and Strategist of studio egs, where the focus is on aiding justice-seeking organizations in achieving their visions through various services including program strategy, design, and policy advocacy. With extensive experience in economic justice advocacy, community investment, and nonprofit strategy, Emma has worked with notable clients such as Creatives Rebuild New York and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. As a Policy Advocacy Strategist and Advisor for Creatives Rebuild New York, Emma contributes to a significant initiative supporting financial stability for artists in New York State. Additionally, Emma serves as a Fellow at the Institute for the Future, an Activator for SheEO™, and has held various leadership roles, including Director of Policy Advocacy and Field Building at Beneficial State Foundation. Emma Guttman-Slater holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Yale University and has participated in a fall semester abroad program focusing on Anthropology in Uganda and Rwanda.
