Dr. Zeljko Despotovic is a distinguished researcher and educator in the fields of power electronics and mechatronics, currently serving as a Full Research Professor at both the Mihajlo Pupin Institute and the University of Belgrade since September 1990 and January 2007, respectively. With an extensive background as a Scientific Advisor and President of the Scientific Council at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, Zeljko Despotovic has contributed significantly to research in controlling power converters, electrostatic precipitator systems, and vibration control. The academic journey includes a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, with an emphasis on Power Converters and Drives. Additionally, Zeljko Despotovic plays a vital role in applied studies within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, focusing on new energy technologies and various specialized courses.
