Phillipa Burns is an experienced medical microbiologist currently serving as a Specialist Advisor at the Institute of Biomedical Science since December 2018 and as a Consultant Clinical Scientist at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since August 2023. Additionally, Phillipa was a Committee Member for the British Society for Microbial Technology from May 2022 to January 2023 and completed training as a Consultant Clinical Scientist Trainee at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust from September 2018 to November 2020.
