Samuel Tan currently serves as the Vice President of ESG Solutions within the Sector Solutions Group at Group Wholesale Banking for UOB, focusing on sustainable finance and transition sectors. With a strong background in sustainability, Samuel leads the enhancement of the bank's Sustainable Finance Frameworks and operationalises strategies for net-zero and financed emissions decarbonisation. Additionally, Samuel is a Committee Member on the Young Professionals Advisory Committee at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and serves as a Programme Partner for The FinLab, contributing to sustainability innovation initiatives. Prior experience includes a role as Group Sustainability Strategist at Alibaba Group and Managing Consultant in Climate Change and Sustainability Services at EY, where Samuel developed and managed numerous sustainability advisory projects. Samuel holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Business School.
