Sherma Malan

Sherma Malan, M.Inst.D, serves as the Executive Director for Certification and Member Services at the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa since March 2018, after holding the position of Senior Manager for Director Certification. Prior experience includes leading Membership Services and Corporate Relations at the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa from July 2011 to February 2018, where responsibilities encompassed strategy development, staff leadership, and financial management. Sherma also has a background in training and education, having worked as a freelance trainer, facilitated at Regenesys Business School, and served as Academic Registrar at Central Johannesburg College. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration from Regenesys Business School, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State, and a B.Ed in Accounting and Business Economics from the University of Johannesburg.
