Arjun Flora

Arjun Flora is the Director of Energy Finance Studies, Europe at the Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis. Prior to this, they were an Associate at Alexa Capital LLP from November 2012 to August 2017. Alexa Capital LLP is a boutique advisory and investment firm focused on the new energy sector. There, Arjun had high exposure to sector-specific financing, M&A, strategy and investment projects. Some of the selected transactions / projects they were a part of include the £40 million strategic sale of Younicos to Aggreko, the $50 million strategic equity financing and corporate restructuring of Younicos, and the opinion of fair value for equity funding and buy-side M&A advisory for an energy storage technology company. Arjun was also responsible for the sell-side M&A for German renewable energy services, analytics and trading platform, multiple transactions around the sale / financing of utility scale UK ground-mount solar assets, buy-side advisory for a $1bn+ market cap semiconductor company, capital raising / M&A sell-side for a growth stage smart grid sensor company, mixed debt / equity financing for an EICT services provider to the O&G and energy industry, development of bespoke ROI/cost-benefit model for smart grid/enterprise/home solutions provider, and more. Their typical skills and responsibilities include transaction process management and execution, preparation of financial models/analysis and investor marketing materials, capital markets communications advisory and support, analyst and intern recruitment and training, as well as sector specific strategy.

Arjun Flora's educational career began at Wootton Upper School. Arjun then went on to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where they earned a BA and MEng. Finally, Arjun obtained a certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in Corporate Finance.
