David F. Smith

David F. Smith is currently the Director at the INSTITUTE OF GAS TECHNOLOGY. Prior to that, they were a Strategy Consultant at Wells Fargo from July 2006 to July 2019. In their role as a consultant, David provided order to a fluid, fast pace environment with multiple stakeholders and objectives resulting in a team environment that was more efficient in completing and achieving objectives. Some of their accomplishments include establishing weekly status calls, ensuring the team was up to-date with the latest information, short- and long-term tracking and reporting to keep the group on target, as well as providing a road map of up coming projects.

In addition, David also performed a deep dive into a primary KPI that was not tracking from period to period. David was able to successfully redefine how the metric is reported and discussed. This was accomplished through data analysis to understand the current methodology and identity gaps. David then employed assistance from junior team member with more expertise and bandwidth before presenting the results and methodology to senior leadership. Their work was so well received that the methodology was incorporated into future calculation and reporting of the KPI.

David F. Smith received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from DeVry Institute of Technology, both in the field of Business Administration, Management and Operations.
