Alexandra Bruter

Alexandra Bruter is a Scientific Researcher with experience at the Institute for Gene Biology Russian Academy of Sciences since October 2019, and at the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.N. Blokhin since 2016. Alexandra also worked at the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology Russian Academy of Sciences from 2006 to September 2019. Alexandra holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Institute of Gene Biology Russian Academy of Sciences

The Institute is the leading Russian research center in the field of molecular and cellular biology. Institute’s laboratories conduct basic and applied research in the regulation of gene expression, the spatial genome organization, epigenetics, etc. The Institute was founded on June 26, 1990, on the basis of Molecular Genetic Problems Department of Vavilov Institute of General Genetics and the Laboratory of Nucleic Acid Biosynthesis of Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology. IGB is a structural unit of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is affiliated with the Division of Biological Sciences, which is responsible for methodological and administrative management of IGB RAS. Academician Georgi Georgiev, one of the most famous Soviet and Russian biochemists and molecular biologists, was appointed and then elected organizing director of IGB RAS. Over the years, IGG RAS has become the leading Russian research center in the field of molecular and cellular biology. The Institute includes 23 research departments: 15 laboratories and 7 research groups.
