David Heron

David Heron is a seasoned GIS Analyst with over 30 years of experience in the geosciences field, currently serving at GNS Science since June 1992. Responsibilities include tech transfer project management, core funded research project management, hazard and risk specialization, database design and maintenance, data quality assurance, and Python scripting. David's previous role as a Scientist at the New Zealand Geological Survey involved geological research and scientific editing, along with active fault investigations. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, both from Victoria University of Wellington.
