Mark Rigsby

Mark Rigsby is a seasoned professional in the nuclear power industry with extensive experience in performance improvement, risk assessment, and facility management. Currently serving as a Senior Evaluator at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) since June 2023, Rigsby previously held multiple director-level positions at Duke Energy Corporation from October 2007 to December 2022. Responsibilities included overseeing the Performance Improvement Program across six nuclear facilities, directing fleet assessments, managing organizational effectiveness initiatives, and handling risk assessment processes. Rigsby played a key role in recovery efforts at the Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant and led the development of the Decommissioning Organization for the CR3 facility. Rigsby earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from Purdue University between 1979 and 1984.
