Mary Chege

Mary Chege is a dedicated researcher and educator with significant experience in the fields of bioinformatics, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Currently, Mary serves as a Doctoral Student at the University of Nairobi and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Primate Research, focusing on COVID-19 detection at the One Health Centre. Key responsibilities include receiving samples and performing RT-PCR testing. Previously, Mary was a Part-time Lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where teaching responsibilities encompassed biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, alongside supervising practical experiments. Mary holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics from the University of Nairobi and both a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry.
