Ignacio Mezquita Pérez-Andújar

Ignacio Mezquita Pérez-Andújar was born on August 30, 1967, holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas-ICADE, and is a senior member of the Spanish State Trade Analysts and Economists Division.

He is currently Deputy Director-General of Foreign Investments at the MINCOTUR Secretary of State for Commerce. In the past, among other positions, he has been Deputy Director of Cartels and Clemency in the Directorate of Competition of the Comisión Nacional de Los Mercados y la Competencia (National Commission on Financial Markets and Competition - CNMC), Economic and Trade Advisor, economic area coordinator, in the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Institutions, Director General of Economic Policy at MINECO and member of the FROB's Steering Committee and ICO's General Board, as well as Economic and Trade Advisor in Beijing.

He has also been Executive Director of Investor Information and Advice at the Sociedad Estatal para la Promoción y Atracción de las Inversiones Exteriores and Deputy Director General of Market Concentration at the Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia (Spanish Competition Authority).
