María Cristina Tarrero Martos

María Cristina Tarrero Martos is a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

She has been a member of the State Corps of Civil Engineers since 2001. She has spent her entire professional career at the Ministry of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda. After joining the Directorate-General for Roads as her first posting, she has held various responsibilities in the Directorate-General for Economic Programming and Budgets. First as Head of the European Funds Area, since 2008 as Technical Director of the Support Unit, and, since July 2020, as Deputy Director-General for Economic Coordination.

She has been a director of Aena Internacional, Sasemar, SEITT, and, since September 2020, of Enaire.
